What's the wildest thing you ever did at Priory?
Led the Prefects Group out on strike.!! We felt we should be getting privileges in addition to authority....it was a time when the school was very short staffed through illnesses etc, and we were filling in constantly...
The net result was that the entire Prefects Group was summoned to Henry's office one Saturday morning!!! As Head Boy, I was told to make a choice: retract the strike, or begin my union duties on a permanent basis...elsewhere !!!
To his credit, Henry Fowler did acknowledge the audacity of the move..!!
Needless to say, we all returned to school on the following Monday.."
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory?
Had to be Jon Harvey, while I was a teacher at Priory between 1969 and 1971
