What's the wildest thing you ever did at Priory?
My lips are sealed on that, but I was involved in the famous gunpowder 'incident' on the Jamaica House fence, along with nameless others.
A small group of students mixed up a batch of explosive type stuff, and detonated it up against the Jamaica House /Police Club fence corner one afternoon. Not much of an explosion, but lots of flame and smoke, and considerable damage was done to the fences (they melted). Needless to say, the response from the security forces was instantaneous, funny and came to nothing. This was the culmination of about a month or so of ‘experiments’ of that nature, and the end of our messing with explosives for a while. I can’t remember any disciplinary action, and I don’t believe anyone got caught. We all left the scene in a hurry!Jamaica House
