Remember Rich Martin?
When did you attend Priory?
1959 - 1965
Who was your most unforgettable teacher?
Pat Bourke - smart, funny man who knew how to connect with and motivate his students.
Who were your best friends at Priory?
Roger Brand, Anthony Delisser, Robin Delisser, Bill Lightbourne, Douglas Greaves, Peter Wong
Roger Brand c.1965
Who are you in touch with now
I was in touch with Robin Delisser up to about five years ago. Lost touch with him when I moved to California and stopped visiting Jamaica as often. Recently connected with Roger Brand who's in England.
Who would you like to trace if you could?
Bill Lightbourne, Marie DuQuesnay, Douglas Greaves, Peter Wong
Marie Duquesnay c. 1965
What was the wildest thing you did at Priory?
I was hooked on looking up girl's dresses in class - the drop pencil trick. Unfortunately I still have trouble controlling the urge! Old habits die hard! Hmmm...
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory?
Steve Williams was out there - amused me a lot! Drove like a maniac! He could throw a cricket ball harder than anyone I knew.
Where do you live and what do you do now?
I live in Surf City, USA (aka Huntington Beach, California), where I also work for Quiksilver - the largest boardriding apparel and lifestyle company of its kind - as their Director of Internal Audit. Love it! It really is the "coolest" company to work for and has that reputation all over the world. I get to travel several times a year to places people dream of visiting - the south of France (Pays Basque), Australia, Japan. Tough job but someone has to do it!
Tell us about any significant others
Twice divorced - no plans for a third, yet.
What do you think of the think of site?
It's great - brought back a lot of memories, all good. I hope to reconnect with some of my old friends. Just wish someone has a list of everyone who was in A1 in 1965 so I could remember them all!
