Remember Rachael Brownell
Rachael Brownell 1989
Rachael Brownell 2008
When did you attend Priory 1985-1989
Who were your most memorable teachers? Miss Narinesingh. She was the most wonderful woman. I couldn't tell you specifics why, but I will never forget having her as my teacher in J3. She gave me my start into drama when she cast me in the production of the "Wide Mouthed Frog", it was my first trip onto the stage and I haven't stopped since.
Mrs. Marguerite Narinesingh
Who were your best friends at Priory? Jousha Newman, he lived next door to me. Tessa Calder, she was a Scottish exchange student, and Viktor Batizi, my first boyfriend (blush). Elisabeth Lee. I remember lots of people though. I was a bit of a social butterfly even then.
Joshua Newman, Tessa Calder and Viktor Batizi
Who are you in touch with today? Sadly not too many people. I run into the occasional classmate when I return to Jamaica, but living in Canada now, there aren't too many oppertunities for reunion.
Who would you like to track down? Anyone really, it would be nice to see all those faces again.
What was the wildest thing you did at Priory? I was too young to do anything wild. But I do remember having a crush on Roger Harriot, and one day at track practice getting hurt when I was trying to watch him without watching him. Not wild, but embarassing. I still have a scar.
Roger Harriot
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory? Goodness, I have no idea. I think we were all a bit young to be too crazy.
Where do you live and what do you do nowadays? I live in Canada for the moment, and I'm a writer.
Tell us about any significant others Not at the moment.
Tell us about your most unusual meeting with a Priory person I met someone at the airport one year who remembered me from Priory, but to be honest I couldn't place him at all. Apparently he says I haven't changed and still look the same.
What do you think of the Priory Website? I think it's great.
