Remember John Lindgren
John 1980
John Lindgren 2007
When did you attend Priory 1978-1980 What was your nickname at Priory? - How did you locate the Priory website? Computer search
Who were your most memorable teachers? Mrs. Gomes. She was my 1st form homeroom teacher, and English teacher, and she was just a great teacher. My world history teacher was amazing too; can't remember his name though.
Mrs. Sarah Gomes
Who were your best friends at Priory? Ian Murray, Chippy, Steve Dolley, Joe D., Tracy Benjamin, Jenny Johnson. Others too, but their names escape me (too many years ago).
Who are you in touch with today? I've completely lost touch since moving back to the States, though I did run into Steve Dolley 4 years later at The Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Who would you like to track down? Everyone in our old circle. They were all so much fun.
What was the wildest thing you did at Priory? We were a little too young for Wild, but I did see Peter Tosh perform next door at the Policeman's Club, which was really cool! We also used to have a pint of beer after playing squash at the country club (Liguanea), which I thought was really cool for a 13 year old.
Peter Tosh
Tell us about your memories of Priory and Jamaica Priory was such a great school: very strong academics with such an international flavour (there were students from all over the world that attended Priory). After I left Jamaica and Priory, I went to an American high school in Virginia that was an exceptional school; however, I was at least a year a head of my peers (thanks to just two years at Priory).
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory? Chippy.
Where do you live and what do you do nowadays? I live in West Palm Beach, Florida. I'm an urban/city planner; however, I'm currently siting, permitting, and building electrical distribution substations (slight career twist).
Tell us about any significant others I've been married for 7 years to Mary, and we have a great looking 1-year old boy (Luke).
Tell us about your most unusual meeting with a Priory person Walking down the street to class at university in Tallahassee, Florida, and I walk by Steve Dolley. I stop, and say to myself, "I know that guy." I turn around, and follow him until his name pops back into my head. We both couldn't believe we ended up at the same university. Very surreal.
What do you think of the Priory Website? Great website! Can't think of anything I would do differently.
