When did you attend Priory 1962 - 1968
How did you locate the Priory website? Michael Jay (Priory Alumnus) called to recommend that I log on.
Who were your most memorable teachers? Mrs. Hernould: She inspired me to love History & English Literature which I still do.
Mrs. Hernould
Who were your best friends at Priory?
Michael Bernard, Michael Jay & Stuart Shalom. All three possessed varying elements of madness.
Michael Jay
Form A2 1967
Who are you in touch with today? Michael Jay in Ottawa and Stuart Shalom in Manchester remain life-long friends.
Who would you like to track down? Michael Bernard (living in Tanzania), Bar Kator (US somewhere) and Peter Vair (Jamaica born)
Michael Bernard
What was the wildest thing you ever did at Priory? Following a fight, I chased after Martin Wood; he slammed a classroom door in front of me and my arm went through the plate glass, resulting in much drama, hospital emergency visit, bandages & numerous stitches which remain a reminder of my wilder days. The episode did elicit sympathetic responses from the girls in my class, which I milked for weeks.
Martin Wood
What memories/views do you have of Priory? The happiest school days one can imagine. Little stress and amazing teachers and a super positive atmosphere mainly due to Mr. Fowler at the helm.
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory? Deryck Brown, Neil Carney and Martin Wood all pushed the envelope everyday and probably sent a few teachers in search of psychotherapy.
Deryck Brown
Where do you live and what do you do nowadays? After Priory I went to boarding school on the Isle of Wight, then to Queen's University in Ontario, then onto a career in the Petroleum Industry where I now own and operate an independent Sales Promotion Agency based in Fort Myers, Florida.
Tell us about any significant others Beth, my wife of 33 years, have two grown sons (Kent & Ryan), one is studying medicine aged 24 and another is in home construction and about to get married, aged 27.
Tell us about your most unusual meeting with a Priory person I met my fantasy love, Mary Ellen da Costa on the subway in Toronto 20 years ago and she had to be reminded who I was. Obviously I made quite the impression with her while at Priory.
Mary Ellen da Costa
What do you think of the Priory Website? Very Professional. I must navigate it further to see if there is a way to search & find "lost" alumni.
