When did you attend Priory
1971 – 1974
How did you locate the Priory website?
By accident, I thought of some old friends in Priory (Jim Matheson, Nigel Richards, Christine Gonsalves), and I started searching for them on the internet. I was surprised to find Priory had a web site.
I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the old year books.
Nigel Richards and Christine Gonsalves
Who were your most memorable teachers?
Mrs. Downey left a lasting impression on me. I remember her concern and caring nature for all her students.
Mrs. Sally Downey

I remember being close friends with Nigel Richards, Alistair Wint, Ronald Emmanuel, Jim Matheson, Christine Gonsalves, Roberta Stoddart.
Ronald Emmanuel
Who are you in touch with today?
I was briefly in touch with Alistiar Wint, by phone. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to meet up.
Who would you like to track down?
All of the above names.
What was the wildest thing you ever did at Priory?
I really don’t recall what I did that was wild. Anyone, feel free to provide input...
What memories/views do you have of Priory?
What left a long lasting impression on me was the diverse student body and cultures that I still hold dear to me today. Folk songs he would listen to in 1st grade I would recall singing in Priory (and I remembered the words). Songs that were brought to Priory from students and faculty from around the world, like Molly Malone (Irish), Waltzing Matilda (Australia). The most amusing encounters I have with other Jamaicans is when I tell them I used to go to Priory, and every comment would be, "Hm, You mus come from money, fi go a dat de school!"
Mother never told me about that growing up, and I never saw any of that money....
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory?
I remember Jim Matheson being the most out spoken and dynamic individual. Not crazy, but very energetic.
Where do you live and what do you do nowadays?
I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and am an SAP Security and Systems Administrator for Citrix Systems, Inc.
Tell us about any significant others
I have a wonderful wife and 7 year old son. We are currently going through an adoption process through the Great Wall of China.
Tell us about your most unusual meeting with a Priory person
The only person I’ve spoken to was Alistair Wint, about 3 years ago. We communicated by phone and had planned to meet, but we lost contact again. This was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
My mother and his mother keep in touch every now and then. My mother told me that she was in contact with Alistair. Unfortunately, I lost his number.
Mental Note: Ask mom for Alistair’s contact information again…….
What do you think of the Priory Website?
The web site is incredible. My wife had a good laugh at me, when she saw me break down in tears, looking at old familiar faces. I started searching on the internet for those that I remember.
Thru further research I also discovered
http://www.ackee.com, looking for other classmates from the year books. I was successful in finding others.Click here to e-mail Stephen Smith
